The man has been on a roll for quite some time now and he simply cannot put a foot wrong. We’ve been singing Syrossian’s praises continuously here on WWD and we’re just gonna have to do it again here today.
His latest EP is out now on vinyl and digitally via Lost Records, a label presented to you by none other than Leftwing & Kody. It’s here Darius continues the trend of his 2013 productions with the release of two bitchin’ originals.
I’ll Do Anything is a crackin’ track full of all that goodness we’ve come to love and rely on the Leeds man to provide us with. That big rumbling bassline and tasty hi-hats are sure to have crowds begging for more.
However, it’s the next one we’re all over! I’m Not Weird You’re Just Normal is simply a banger. There’s no other word to describe it, the music does the rest.
The release also features a remix of I’ll Do Anything from the deadly duo fronting the label, Leftwing & Kody. It’s a remix which adds even more spice to this already tasty EP so it’s no wonder these guys tore up Sin nightclub on a recent visit to Dublin.
But it’s the return visit of Syrossian we await. Coming back to play again for Electric Ballroom in the Lost Society Basement it’s one which we’re eagerly awaiting. He’s played Dublin a couple of times this past year but it will be the first time since the airing of his Essential Mix, a feat which he himself has recognized as a sign that he has finally truly made it as a DJ. His humble opinion aside, it’s clear the man’s been at the top of his game for quite some time but this past year his game has been that bit better than everyone else’s and we’re lucky to have the opportunity to catch him again on August 23rd.
